On Saturday 11 January 2025, the first meeting of the new Supreme Military Council took place at the Hellenic Army General Staff in “FIELD MARSHAL ALEXANDROS PAPAGOS” Camp.

The meeting was also attended by the Chief/Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, who delivered an address to the members of the Supreme Military Council.

The Council consists of the following Officers:

– Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, Chief/Hellenic Army General Staff

– Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, Army Inspector General – Doctrine and Training Commander and Deputy Chief/HAGS

– Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos, Commanding General, Hellenic First Army/EU-OHQ

– Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, Commanding General, Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands

– Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardellis, Commandant, Hellenic National Defence College

– Lieutenant General Mihail Klouvas, Hellenic Army Reorganisation Inspector at HNDGS – Coordinator for the Establishment of the Construction and Natural Disaster Relief Command – Commanding General, Construction and Natural Disaster Relief Command

– Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, Commanding General, Higher Army Support Military Command

– Lieutenant General Athanasios Garinis, Commanding General, C Army Corps/NRDC-GR

– Lieutenant General Manouras Georgios, Commanding General, Hellenic Special Warfare Command
